WHAT WE BELIEVE
At First Lutheran Church Kingsville, our faith is grounded in the truth of Scripture alone - the inspired and authoritative Word of God. As part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, we hold to the historic Christian faith passed down through the centuries.
SCRIPTURE
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God — the sole authority for all matters of faith and life.
THE TRINITY
We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — co-equal, co-eternal, and fully divine.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus is true God and true man, who lived, died, and rose again for the forgiveness of our sins and the promise of eternal life.
SALVATION BY GRACE
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone - not by anything we do or deserve.
BAPTISM
We believe Baptism is a means of grace through which God forgives sin, delivers from death, and gives the Holy Spirit.
THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe that in the Lord's Supper, Christ's body and blood are truly present with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins.
Built on faith, sustained by community
For generations, First Lutheran Church has been a place of prayer, worship, and faithful witness in the Kingsville community. Through times of joy and challenge, God has continued to guide and sustain this congregation. Today, we remain committed to living out our calling — supporting one another, caring for those in need, and leading people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. With gratitude for the past and trust in God’s leading, we continue forward together in faith.
